Kinetix PT at Jonesville is the best! A couple of months ago I began treatment there for neck, shoulder, and back pain that was affecting every aspect of my life. The physical therapists, the interns and the administrative staff are all wonderful. From day one I knew I had chosen the right place. Unlike other PT places I have been to through the years, I looked forward to every appointment at Kinetix. My treatment plan was decided upon by Dr. Jake Reidy and Carter. They were so caring and professional. I knew I was in good hands. My progress was faster than I expected, and I ‘graduated’ last week! I just completed physical therapy to rehab my left knee quad tendon rupture. Dr Jed Meyers lead the team of Kathy Shealy, Lauren, Enrique & Brooke on my road to recovery. Their location in Haile was very convenient for me. I highly recommend Kinetix for your injury recovery requirements. They provided and very comfortable and friendly environment for my recovery.   

I arrived to Kinetix after months of trying to “fix” my elbow weakness on my own. I was in pain daily. I knew my strength had diminished and was not getting any better. After an initial evaluation, I was given strengthening exercises. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Not only did they help me with my strengthening goals, they made it fun. From fun conversations and questions of the day, this group made my experience one of a kind. I’ve never needed PT and if I need it again, this is where I will come. Dr. Michael McWilliams, Caleb Holt and their team were great. When I started at Kinetix, I was experiencing balance issues. Over the course of many months, they encouraged and helped me to regain my balance. I highly recommend Kinetix Physical Therapy as well as Michael and Caleb.   

First, I came back to Kinetix because of the physical therapy I received for my shoulder pain. I’m basically pain free. When I started having hip pain, I started having physical therapy at Kinetix. I came to the Haile Plantation Kinetix office on a referral from my Orthopedic doctor. I was having a lot of pain in my lower back and legs that was making it very painful to do my daily tasks. I couldn’t walk standing straight or without limping. It was hard to get out of the bed in the morning. Everyone who helped me was great I thought I was going to have knee pain for the rest of my life. But after 8 weeks of PT, I’m able to run and jump like I never got hurt. There are too many people to name but EVERYONE of them is great I highly recommend!!!

I was very impressed with Kinetix and the care they provided me. I was having lower back pain from an injury in the gym that had lasted around 6 months. When I went in, the team quickly organized a plan of care that would get me back to normal over the next 30 days. I worked with Dr. Jake Reidy, Carter, Bryant, and Holden, and they all contributed to my recovery. They met me where I was at and developed exercises that challenged me, made me sweat, and made me stronger. After the 30 days my back pain is gone, and I’ve been able to get back to my regular exercise regimen. I’m super grateful to the team and would recommend them to anybody dealing with pain.   

Great experience here at Kinetix. I hurt my shoulder and they took good care of me and put me through certain stretches and workouts to help me get stronger. Caleb and Dr. Michael McWilliams were great I highly recommend them.

Why did you pick PT for your profession?

I was raised on a bait farm (worm farm) in Alford, FL. My parents also had other businesses. As kids, we were paid for work we did on the farm, not paid for chores. Chores were just something we did. My parents did not just give us anything we asked for or wanted but they did give us what we needed. If we wanted other things we had to save up and pay the difference. We were taught you have to work hard for what you get, it will not just be given to you. Learning how to manage money at an early age was such a great lesson. It has greatly helped me in life.

Why did you pick PT for your profession?

As I was graduating high school I knew I wasn’t going to play college sports and needed to select a major and career path. I always loved science and took a care/prevention of injuries course with my athletic trainer. I realized I could blend sports and science through being involved in rehab. I did PT twice earlier in high school but didn’t get much out of it. Since I was 15/16, I already knew everything! After learning about the potential of rehab I knew I could do it better and help people avoid the mistakes I made. I studied Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at UF and did my undergraduate intern at Kinetix PT. After working with Tony and other PTS I knew I wanted to do this and have been blessed to continue growing as a PT with Kinetix PT ever since.

What do I like about living in Gainesville?

The community in Gainesville resembles the small town I grew up in. Gainesville is also rich with innovation and the pursuit of excellence. Every day I get to interact with students that want to learn, and I have the opportunity to make them more knowledgeable than I was. The community of Gainesville provides a great mix of professionals who research, practice, and teach health sciences. We also have a top 5 public university supporting the community. Of course, you can’t talk about Gainesville greatness without mentioning Florida Football. Go Gators!

Why did you pick PT for your profession?

I wanted to help and serve others. When I was in high school, I remember my grandmother (who is a retired nurse) encouraging me to do something in the health field. I played sports and enjoyed exercise but was unsure how I could blend my passions with my future career. Fortunately, but unfortunately, I suffered an elbow injury while playing baseball around this time. I was referred to a physical therapist and was able to make a full return to playing baseball through PT treatment. I was even able to go on and play in college! I saw how much physical therapy helped me and learned what a great career it was. This knowledge drove me to pursue a degree in Exercise Science and apply to PT school. Now, after practicing for three years, I can look back and truly say that it was meant to be. I am helping others get out of pain and back to function every day. It’s awesome!

I had a lot of knee pain going into physical therapy, and now I can proudly say I have no knee pain. Dr. Michael McWilliams, Tara, Grace, Caleb, and all the other staff that helped me, made my experience here enjoyable and effective. I started out not being able to climb stairs without a lot of knee pain and now thanks to their help I can climb up the stairs with ease.

I suffered an injury to my right shoulder playing golf. My doctor referred me to the folks at Kinetix for an evaluation and treatment. They did a diagnostic ultrasound of my shoulder and found 2 torn tendons. Dr. Michael McWilliams and his assistant Caleb Holt developed an exercise program to rehabilitate my shoulder. They were great to work with and very professional. I just got back from vacation where I played 18 holes of golf every day for 4 days in a row. Thank you, Michael and Caleb, for all your efforts!    

I came in two days after a partial meniscectomy and now at 3 weeks post op I am at least at 90% improvement. Kyrsten is my therapist and she is excellent. She knew exactly what to do to get me back to normal. I would recommend her and Kinetix to anyone needing physical therapy. The facility is really nice and clean and everyone has been so nice.

I give the staff at kinetix 5 stars. They’re straight up awesome!! From my first visit to my last visit. They were super friendly, caring, and super informative on everything I asked. I believe they are the reason I got back on my feet as quickly as I did!! I would recommend them 100%. And I usually don’t like doing / going to these types of places!

The fantastic care from the PT team at Kinetix helped me recover from rear end collision on I75. A special thank you to the reception staff who always greeted me cheerfully. I experienced shoulder pain for most of my life with no idea as to why! Thanks to Jed and the help with his lovely assistants KB and Vivian, we were able to finally pin point what was the main root of the issue and create a comprehensive plan to help with alleviating the pain I was experiencing!   

Having been successfully treated for vertigo many years ago at Kinetix, I returned for help with a sense of “ungrounding” occurring many times a day for several months. Despite the lack of a clear diagnosis, they approached the treatment from different angles including visual challenges and balance work in an attempt to reset my vestibular system. Attention was also focused on my cervical spine with mobility exercises and hands on therapy. The sessions were augmented by use of the Neubi and Laser modalities. Close attention was paid to the feedback I gave during the course of treatment Limited in time by my upcoming move to full time live aboard life on our boat, they geared up with appointments 4 days a week. They worked to develop a set of exercises i can do on my own. With this regimen, the sense of ungroundedness has dissipated to the point I feel confident in going ahead with plans to be a live-aboard. I feel confident in recommending team at Kinetix and am grateful for the caring attention they gave me.

The staff & interns are supportive & professional. Hopefully I won’t need PT anytime soon, but if I do I’ll be a repeat patient at Kinetix.   

I moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. I need to find a place to continue my physical therapy after an ACL Reconstruction along with Meniscus repair. I worked with Dr. Jed Meyers and Vivian. I believe I got the best crew in the building. They were amazing to work with. Jed always pushed me very hard and was great with making sure I felt comfortable and didn’t have pain. The environment at Kinetix is very friendly. I have been to other PT offices and they have topped every last one. Jed was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He worked very well with my schedule. Any questions I had he answered very well. Kinetix Physical Therapy is loaded with experienced, professional, and personable staff members that are all-in to treating your condition. I came to them with shoulder limitations that have brewed from a number of issues over the past several years – sports, working out with poor form, etc. They have completely returned mobility, strength, and functionality in my shoulders within a matter of months. From day one of being at Kinetix PT, it really helped me recover and get back on track with my physical health and reduce the amount of back pain episodes significantly to basically not having any for about a year and counting. I came back with runner’s knee and was helped once again with superb services to get back to running and my daily routine! I was referred to Dr. Jake at the arbor greens/Jonesville location for debilitating back pain. When I first started therapy, the back pain was effecting most aspects of my daily life. The team at Kinetix PT are very professional! Dr. Scott Eddins addressed all of my needs and answered all my questions and concerns. They brought me along to a place where I’m not worried about injury again. 

I have been at Kinetix PT for a little over two months and saw massive improvement with not only recovery but also with the muscle growth to the point where family even saw a difference in my mobility. 

I started with terrible ankle pain and pain in my bunion. I now have no ankle pain thanks to Carter and Anna. I did end up getting my pins removed in my bunion and no longer have pain. When I came to Kinetix, I had dizziness episodes that impaired my work at my job, had blurred vision, and could not enjoy activities with my children. Dr. Jake Reidy and Carter guided me through exercises to improve my vestibular hypofunction. The exercises were tailored to my abilities and everyone was so kind and encouraging. Through my weekly sessions and continued homework, I no longer experience any blurred vision and can perform all my work duties without difficulty. I was even able to ride a roller coaster with my daughter! I am so thankful for the care I received.  

I began PT with Dr. Michael McWilliams to improve my gait. A year ago, I had hip surgery and while my pain had decreased, I still had a significant limp especially when walking longer distances. I felt this was impacting my ability to enjoy activities that required a lot of walking. After several months of working with Michael and Caleb my gait has improved, my pain is gone, and I am able to walk much longer distances. I’m back to normal activities such as working, running, weight training, sleeping, driving, etc. with no pain or pain medication. No surgery was required. I had one session of Laser Therapy and highly recommend it for immediate relief. Shoutout to Carter, Dr. Jake and Caleb for their due diligence and manual therapy. Great attitudes by all!

Kinetix gave me the best experience! Carter and Anna met me when I couldn’t walk without crutches and now, I’m running miles and squatting as good as before my ACL tear. They were both so encouraging and got to know me personally so that they could help me reach my goals faster. I always looked forward to my visits here and I’m honestly sad to leave! I was having significant right hip pain from running. My PT, Dr. Mike McWilliams was able to identify the problem and then form a solid plan that helped me execute to get me back to normal.

Before PT, I got a dull ache in my knee and had to wear a brace. Now I’m back to normal. The knee pain is nonexistent, and I feel comfortable going back to the gym! I’m grateful to Grace, Sarah, and Dr. Scott Eddins for their efforts.   

This is my second time coming to Kinetix. I had hurt my left knee and my thumb was sore from repetitive use. I feel my therapy has helped a great deal and was beneficial. I did three Laser Therapy treatments which were helpful. The Diagnostic Ultrasound was able to show problems in the areas. The most important thing I would like to say is the staff at Kinetix are amazing. I have always felt welcome and treated like family. The staff are all very professional and knowledgeable. I broke my upper humerus. I could barely get my hand up to shake Dr. Scott Eddin’s hand when I first came to Kinetix. I told them I wanted to knee board by the end of June and together, we made it happen. Kinetix has a great staff. I would highly recommend seeing them for any of your PT needs.            

Great experience here. Wonderful staff. The tightness and discomfort in my shoulder has improved greatly. It is not totally healed but I’m hopeful it will continue to improve while I continue daily exercises. Laser therapy was good. The ultrasound was beneficial. I was concerned I might have rotator cuff problems. The manual therapy was the best. Carter was able to zoom in on tight areas and made it feel better.   

Big thanks to Dr. Jed Meyers and Eric for the healing and strength they inspired. Enjoyed my visits very much and appreciate the big improvements noted. Having treatment so close to home was great. Dr. Jed and Eric gave me more confidence for physical activity. Thank you Kinetix!

I had Total Knee Replacement surgery. I started Kinetix at about half where I should have been. Together, Carter and I mastered my concerns. I have more confidence in my recovery because of Carter pushing me. The manual therapy and the laser therapy along with the exercises equaled a success for me. I am 100% satisfied with Carter and the entire team!

I had trouble powerwalking, getting in and out of the car, sleeping, rolling over in bed, and getting in and out of bed. Sitting for 30-40 minutes caused pain. I was taking Aleve 2x a day. After physical therapy with Dr. Michael McWilliams and team, I have no trouble power walking 45 minutes a day. I am sleeping soundly and have no trouble rolling over. No more pain meds!   

Dr. Jake Reidy was very supportive of me as I was a wimp.  I am much improved from my many knee problems.  I was able to stop pain meds entirely within 2 weeks of starting therapy.  Haley was a delight and very supportive as well. 

I’ve had chronic back pain since I was 12 years old. Before physical therapy, I constantly reached for a heating pad and kept pain meds stocked in my nightstand. I would cancel plans if my back pain flared up, and my fianceé had to take on all the heavy lifting at home. I did 6 weeks of physical therapy with Jake and Haley at the Jonesville building, with exercises, laser therapy, and new orthotics. I’m now functioning pain-free on a day-to-day basis. I haven’t reached for a heating pad or pain meds in a month. I recently went on vacation and did a ton of walking — for the first time in YEARS, I never had to sit down or be in pain when getting back to the hotel. I’m so grateful for Jake and Haley’s hard work and support. Being practically pain free after years of being so used to pain is an amazing feeling.

After a fall that injured my right leg and knee, I was convinced that I needed meniscus surgery for the pain.  I decided to give PT a try before scheduling surgery.  Dr. Jake Reidy and Haley were fantastic.  They designed a program of exercises that improved the quality of my knee.  I have an upcoming cruise and I look forward to enjoying all the excursions!

I found everyone here to be very helpful and professional. I would and do recommend people and my doctors to send people who need any special needs here after an accident. I came to follow up with PT needs of mobility, strengthening, painful joints, and swelling. I came because I needed help to be able to walk again without fear of the fall I took and reducing the swelling. They did a wonderful job. I loved working with my team of Dr. Scott Eddins, Sara and Zach. This is my second trip here and I loved them both. Thank you all for giving me back my confidence.   

My awesome physical therapists was Leanne Quinn! When I began therapy, my hips, back, and right knee caused so much pain that it was difficult to get in and out the car, climb stairs, and roll over in bed! While guiding and encouraging me with a wonderfully planned physical therapy program, I progressed to where I am able to perform my daily tasks without much pain. Midway through the process, I suffered from congestive heart failure. I was in the hospital for several days. When I resumed my therapy, Leanne, Tirsit, and Melissa developed my program to include blood pressure monitoring. They were so helpful, patient, and kind as they waited for me to catch my breath and continue exercising. I have lost 77 pounds and feel like a new person. This past year was hard, but with this wonderful staff I achieved my goals.

The people who were in my PT team were Mr. Carter and Dr. Michael McWilliams. My quality of life has improved by being better at running track. I would say my form has become better, as I now focus on how I am running and the implications of my form. Overall, I would say I have become better at running track, thanks to the help of my PT team.

My torn rotator cuff was preventing me from doing many things, including sleeping and dressing, and the pain was horrible. I was told that only surgery would fix the “full thickness” tear, but unfortunately I wasn’t eligible for surgery for the nearest future. I was seeing another physical therapist regularly for other issues, but they were not able to improve my shoulder. I was resigned to living in pain until I discovered Dr. Jake Reidy & Carter at Kinetix. 20 sessions (2.5 months) of manual therapy combined with strength & flexibility exercises was all it took to regain 95% of my mobility and eliminate 100% of my pain — no surgery needed! Kinetix has been a real life changer. Highly recommend!   

I had pain radiating down my arm before therapy, and it’s now gone for the most part. I could not get a good night’s sleep through the night uninterrupted. I have stopped taking Tylenol, except occasionally for treatment. I do believe laser therapy was helpful. Great therapy team.   

I can’t say enough good things about Leanne Quinn and her team (Jessica, Cameron, etc.). 3 months ago, I could not bend my left knee completely, and there was a lot of pain. Through massage, manipulation, gym work and exercises at home, I can now bend my knee completely with a small amount of discomfort. In a couple weeks I hope to have no discomfort whatsoever. Driving had become a problem because it was hard to turn my head. Now driving no longer causes pain. Also, it no longer hurts my neck to lay on my pillow. Sara, Brent, Zach, and Dr. Scott Eddins helped tremendously. The manual therapy, exercises, and instructions will help with complete recovery.

Dr. Michael McWilliams, Caleb, Zach, Sara, and Karime were the best! I started with them after having my first baby to help improve my diastases and core strength. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing physical therapy especially any women postpartum needing help recovering from pregnancy.   

A big thank you to Dr. Jake Reidy, Carter and all who worked with me. I have gained strength and range of motion in my neck which has helped with my daily activities and driving. No pain medication has been necessary, and the laser treatments really helped decrease the pain and inflammation. I have had nothing but a positive experience at Kinetix.   

After they helped with my ankle, I went straight to Kinetix to help me with back pain. I once again thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I went from feeling doomed to having a “bad back” like everyone in my family to deadlifting 70 pounds with confidence. It has been life changing. Dr. Jed Meyers set up what I thought was an impossible goal and I reached it and enjoyed every moment of it. Before starting at Kinetix, my knee and other parts of my leg were in so much pain. Dr. Michael McWilliams and Carter were quick to take me in and create a unique plan of care. With their help, and continuous support from Anna and Caleb, I was able to squat, use weights, and stay on my feet for long periods of time. I had a limited range of movement with pain in my left shoulder. I could not do the butterfly stroke and freestyle stroke and jump rope hurt and yard work was hard. After 10 sessions and laser therapy, I have full range of movement with very limited pain. I still need to continue stretching and strength exercises. I was provided with an extensive variety of exercises.

Dr. Jake Reidy, PT and the Kinetix team are very personable and work very hard to personalize your plan to your abilities. I made severe improvements over the 6 weeks that I went to PT here. I loved how Leanne Quinn and the staff challenged me and took my dance background into consideration. The exercises were adapted to dance moves to help me get back to my normal routine as a dance teacher and performer.

Thanks to my team and my PT, Leanne Quinn, I recovered from sciatica and I am once again able to cycle the Hawthorne Trail, walk 4 miles any day, and swim! I was first diagnosed with the nerve testing tool in order to develop an appropriate treatment plan. Besides the very ‚hands-on’ manipulation and stretching, and supervised exercise, Laser Therapy also proved to be very helpful in the recovery process. I stopped pain meds almost entirely. And I am truly grateful for all of you bearing with me and not giving up on me.

I sprained my right ankle and was having trouble with recovering and getting back into physical activity. After coming to Kinetix I have 100% strength and confidence in my right ankle. All 3 times I have been here, Carter and Jake have been amazing and friendly. Their assistants were also amazing and fun to work with throughout my recovery.

Before PT, I was crying from severe pain from sitting for just small amounts of time. Now I can sit in the studio and paint again! Carter, Ana, and Dr. Jake were amazing putting together my PT plan. Laser therapy made my healing process 10 times faster. What these guys do is magical. I can get back to my normal life again!   

The Kinetix PT team (Caleb, Carter, and Dr. Jake) was very helpful in strengthening my neck to prevent future pain and inhibition of motion. I can move my neck with full range of motion, bend over, sleep without issues. I was not on pain meds and declined surgery in lieu of strength training/PT. Staff is super friendly. They listen to what you have to say and encourage asking questions. I got great advice and was taught quite a few exercises and stretches I can take home and continue doing on my own. Kinetix PT is a great place to go if you’re seeking progress. I had a work-related injury and was sent here and I’m very thankful for it. I had to have a nerve conduction study done and as soon as we knew what was causing my pain, Dr. Eddins and Carter made sure to work on getting me back to where I was before if not better. My quality of life has improved, and I’ve enjoyed working with my care team. They always took good care of me when I came in for treatment. I am experiencing zero pain now. Before, I had pain in my right hip. Sometimes when I took a step, my right leg would not hold me up. I was taking Tylenol before I came in but now, I don’t need it. Carter Meyers was my PTA. He was great to work with. I did have laser treatments also that helped me see results of the therapy quicker.

I was referred to Kinetix by my internist in order to help with the hip and lower back pain that I was experiencing. At one point I was so uncomfortable that it interfered with my sleep and everyday activities. I had never had physical therapy before so I had no idea how beneficial it would be for my health and well being. Dr. Scott Eddins and his team (AJ and others) were very knowledgeable and encouraging. They explained my injuries and what could be done to help me to improve. I have had an awesome experience at Kinetix. Working with Dr. Scott Eddins and team have helped me to avoid knee surgery for a torn lateral meniscus in my left knee. I’ve had surgery on my right knee for the same injury and decided this time to try PT instead. I am so glad I chose PT with Kinetix over surgery. My left knee feels so much better now and is stronger than the knee I had surgery on. Thank you Kinetix!  

When I first went to Kinetix my lower back pain was so severe I could hardly walk. The muscles were in such spasm my torso was “crooked”. Attempting the bridge exercise, I could not even lift my hips off the table. After just 3 weeks of PT with Dr. Jake Reidy and Carter, the progress I have made is AMAZING! I am able to drive and walk with absolutely zero pain. I can do bridges with marching action. I am pretty much back to my normal daily routine with little to no pain. I have had this same injury treated at other PT facilities and if it ever happens again I will without a question return to Kinetix. Thank you so much! 

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I came into Kinetix after working with another PT organization in town. I suffered from severe back pain and medication was not working. Walking more than a block or two was difficult to say the least, getting out of bed in the morning was sheer pain that would not subside for 30 minutes or more. My quality of life was a 1 out of 10. As I said I stared at one place where they only wanted me to stretch and exercise. I had 4 weeks before a trip to Disney Animal Kingdom and needed to be able to walk comfortably. After reviewing the services offered at Kinetix and realizing they offered more options I decided to give them a try. It was the best decision I made! Leanne and her team worked wonders. They gave me a full evaluation on the first day, spending 90 minutes discussing my symptoms and the underlying cause. As a result of this approach, the combination of manual therapy, stretching, exercises, traction and laser therapy had me back at 75% after 6 sessions, faster than I thought possible. I was able to enjoy my time at Animal Kingdom with few if any symptoms. Today (June 9) I “graduated” and checked out of the program. My life is back to normal, pain-free and loving it. I’ve got a post graduate program to follow to keep things in line. One thing is for sure, if I ever need PT again this is the ONLY place I would go and it’s the only place I will recommend.

I kept thinking I could work out my problems with my shoulder on my own. By the time I visited my doctor I officially had a frozen shoulder. I would wake up in pain, had problems dressing, and couldn’t exercise. Each week I felt progressively better once I started my PT at Kinetix. What can I say?! This was my second time with the Kinetix team. Dr. Jake Reidy, Carter and the team were absolutely amazing. The time, care, research, and tenacity that they show day in and day out is unmatched at any other physical rehab center in North Central Florida. There is not one bad thing I could say about this group as they are so incredibly caring and accommodating to their patients. Is it weird to say I can’t wait to get injured again so I can go back and see them? I think you know the answer… Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

I could not open my jaw without popping and grinding of my right TMJ. Also, it was too painful to turn my head to the right or left. All these issues have been pretty much resolved. I no longer feel I have any problems. Thanks to Dr. Jake Reidy DPT, Carter Meyers PTA and everyone else on the team whose names I don’t remember. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

I’ve been to physical therapy a number of times at different places to recover from a shoulder injury and subsequent surgery. The tissue work, including laser and scraping, along with hands-on workouts have made Kinetix my best experience. I can finally feel my left lower trap and lat muscles working after years of struggle and the workout regimen will be part of my routine forever. Very thankful to Michael and Luis! 

To be honest I was a bit skeptical when I first sought out information at Kinetix as to whether this would really help me, even though I am an advocate and believer in staying active and healthy through regular exercise. I teach Tai chi chuan and my left shoulder just kept fighting me which limited my ability to do the Tai chi forms properly. I was in an intense amount of pain when I just got here, my shoulder being frozen, inflamed, and with a small tear, the road to recovery seemed bleak. I was not able to dress myself without being in pain and putting my jacket on was like a dancing act, spinning in circles to bend the sleeve! I stopped doing my other exercises, yoga, body weight, HITT, because I was in so much pain. After several months of coming to Kinetix PT and listening to and following the advice of my physical therapist, who were all very knowledgeable in my condition and all very very patient with me, I am happy to report that I am pain free and I have about 98% ROM back!! The laser therapy was also amazingly helpful especially if I came to a PT session with a migraine headache. The PT’s and the laser helps not just with acceleration of healing my shoulder but also with some migraine relief 🙂 I can’t thank you all enough for all of the amazing help you gave me and for your positive attitudes, caring and compassion to help me get better! I had a hip replacement and was at PT for strengthening my leg and hip area. Dr. Jake and Carter were very easy to work with and Josh kept me in line with which exercises to do next. This was a very positive experience for me and I’m very grateful to have been able to attend.

If I had to describe my experience at Kinetix in one word, it would be amazing. Everyone there had a fantastic attitude, great personality and just made it an enjoyable place while going through rehab. My journey began nearly 8 months ago with a torn PCL and meniscus in my knee and a fear of surgery. During the 8 months, my team consisted of Dr. Scott Eddins, AJ and Rachel . All honesty, they all were fantastic. They pushed me at a pace I was comfortable with until I could feel my knee improving. Throughout all the hard work, everyone there made it an enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this fantastic group. Although it seemed like a long journey, my knee is now 100% and surgery free. Thank you Kinetix, you are definitely top notch.

I have been going to Kinetix for about five weeks to improve my balance. Although I have work to do, my balance has gotten much better. Many thanks to Dr. Michael McWilliams, Lila and AJ for their patience and hard work to assist me in achieving my goals. Everyone has been very professional, pleasant, and welcoming.

My experience at Kinetix has been positive. I came in with constant discomfort in my right shoulder and sharp pain in some movements especially driving. The therapy and laser treatments have really turned the condition around and I am no longer experiencing the sharp pain and constant discomfort. I have received really good advice and instruction to help me do what I need to do to help my condition continue to improve all of the staff have been great. Dr. Scott Eddins has shown so much concern, compassion, and desire to help me improve.

I could not do anything before I started therapy. Now, I am able to be more independent. I have learned to listen to my body and when to stop when pain starts. The exercises, stretches and laser therapy helped me. But most of all Carter Meyers’s PTA encouragement and teaching me how to work the exercises help me be where I am. Even when I did not believe I could do the exercises, he pushed me, and this helped me believe I could do it. I also want to say thank you to Joshua Lopez. His sweetness and conversations during laser therapy helped me relax and be to feel better. And of course, Dr. Michael McWilliams DPT. His patience and expertise also helped me be where I am. And all the staff at Kinetix. Always welcoming.

My knees are both much stronger and stable due to PT. I’m able to walk daily and climb stairs more frequently. I’m experiencing so much less pain now. I’ve learned so much and the Ultrasound Imaging that Dr. Scott Eddins performed showed a Baker cyst on both knees. Therefore, I had them drained at VIP, and I’m doing so much better. I recommend Kinetix team to everyone as the best PT in Gainesville.

I had very little range of motion on my right shoulder. The MRI revealed low grade tears in my labrum, supraspinatus and subscapularis tendons, causing pain in just about any movement using my right arm. Following the treatment plan and continuing my stretching and exercises at home, I’ve experienced nearly 100% improvement in range of motion and the ability to use my arm while exercising, doing daily activities, and sleeping. I’ve learned the value of proper stretching and warm-up prior to making myself ready for the day. Thank you very much for all the help!   

Before coming into Kinetix, I was struggling immensely with sciatica in my right leg. I couldn’t roll over in bed or stand up without experiencing searing pain down my entire leg. After just one month of working with my PTA, Carter, my pain is 100% better, and I am more comfortable then ever! Carter created a dynamic exercise plan that got more intense over the weeks, and I can confidently say that the place was perfect for me.   

Coming to Kinetix, I had knee pain going on two years. My optimism for making a full recovery was low. I’d gone through PT before, but a PT’s friend recommendation inspired me to give it another shot. Three months later, I am running and lifting pain free. Eight weeks ago I could not stand nor walk. Diagnosed with GBS, I began PT at Kinetix with a “death grip” on my walker—and no confidence at all. After 3 days a week of challenging PT, I can now walk unassisted, with confidence. I feel that my treatment was tailored for my unique situation, and that it worked effectively and was science-based. Very appreciative of Dr. Jake Reidy and Carter!

Before I came to Kinetix, I was having a lot of pain in my neck and tingling down both arms. Dr. Scott Eddins used their diagnostic tools, EMG and musculoskeletal ultrasound to clarify the problem. I also had laser therapy along with manual therapy and stretches. These modalities all combined to reduce my neck pain and intensity and frequency of the tingling.  These modalities make Kinetix a cut above other PT clinics that I’ve been to in the past.

I first came in with bad vertigo. It was hard to sleep, to hold my kids and do simple housework. After just a few sessions, I am back to normal, no issues at all. I feel the best I have in a very long time. Thank you, Dr. Scott Eddins, and Kinetix team for all your hard work and time with me. You have truly made the physical therapy sessions fun.   

When I started, I had right arm pain, numbness on my fingers, and a lot of neck pain. The wonderful treatment from Dr. Jake Reidy and Carter Meyer was awesome. Today is my last day! They are discharging me with good results- my pain is gone, and my numbness is almost gone. But I will miss them a lot, especially Carter Meyer’s magical hands. I will be back soon for my back problems.

My experience has been nothing but positive! I came barely able to open my mouth and my range of motion has improved significantly. This is also the first PT facility where I have consistently seen my physical therapist, Dr. Michael McWilliams, rather than just a PTA, which was a huge step up in my opinion.

I was experiencing shoulder pain and saw a post on Facebook from Kinetix PT offering a diagnostic ultrasound evaluation to find out where pain may be coming from. I was concerned that I had a tear in my shoulder. Dr Scott Eddins performed diagnostic ultrasound and reassured and showed me that there was not a tear in my shoulder. He then developed a plan to allow me more range of motion and develop more strength to play golf again. This particular plan allowed me to hit my lowest golf score in many years! The entire Kinetix team made such a positive impact on me that I decided to come out of retirement and join their team as a Business Relations Specialist!  I’m excited to visit physician offices and other businesses in the community to share my personal story and how Kinetix is making a difference in our community by offering diagnostics and relieving pain naturally. 

Before coming to Physical Therapy at Kinetix, I was unable to do many basic activities without pain medication and increased pain. Now I am able to do those things with very little pain, and I have completely stopped needing medication. Leanne and Sarah, and the rest of the staff were all so welcoming and kind. This has been my best physical therapy experience.

Leanne Quinn and her team have helped me with my shoulder. In the beginning, it was very hard for me to complete some of exercises. Overtime, with her guidance, my shoulder was getting better. Overall, Leanne was phenomenal with my progress. Her assistants were great individuals and made my time here amazing. When you are Kinetix, they take good care of you.

Dr. Scott Eddins saved me from my TMJ pain!! He did a great job figuring out the best treatment and in a short amount of time. He was always figuring out new ways to address issues and was always kind during my appointments. I am so thankful for his patient centered care and expertise. So thankful for all the techs and assistants who kept the theme of kindness throughout the whole treatment process. Also, I feel so much better so the rest is just icing on the cake! 

For most of my life, I have suffered with TMJ. It affected a good deal because of the ongoing ache in my jaw. I could not open my mouth very wide as well. Coming to Kinetix has been very beneficial. The relaxation and stretching of my jaws with specific exercises have relieved my ache. I’m very grateful with the friendly and great staff that helped me achieve this level of comfort, especially thankful to Courtney and Dr. Scott Eddins.   

I’ve been to physical therapy before, but none like Kinetix. My experience/journey has been nothing short of amazing. With the care/guidance of Dr. Jake Reidy, Carter, John, and Sun my recovery was very productive. Let’s not forget the great manual therapy for the hurt shoulder and neck. My experience at Kinetix has been great. I am able to move without pain. I am walking and sleeping so much better and able to get around easier. I was taught how to push through the pain while healing processes start to take effect. No more meds, no more shots in the spine, and no more back pain.

I feel stronger, and my back is better. I have been very pleased with everyone here, this is by far the best PT clinic I have ever been to. I will most certainly come back here. Before PT, I was unable to walk without a boot on. I was unable to play the sport I love. After Dr. Jake, Carter, and Juan had worked with me for 4 weeks, I was back to playing soccer. The whole staff was very friendly and fun to be around. At first, I didn’t want to go to PT because I thought it would just be boring exercises. It was fun and I could always feel the exercises working. I had great experience at Kinetix Physical Therapy.

Leanne Quinn, PT, is amazing.  When we first met, I’d spent 4 months post-partum trying to function to no avail.  I could hardly sit up. I had no ability to get off the floor/bed without using my arm strength or relying on my husband.  I realized my shoulder/back were compensating and beginning to fatigue.  Through Pt, I feel myself again!  I feel strong and I’m enjoying the ability to lift and play with my sweet baby girl without worry.  I even started rowing at home again for the first time in nearly 15 years!

Before coming to Kinetix I was in extreme pain. My lower back and sciatica pain made it difficult for me to sit or stand for long periods of time and made my everyday activities very difficult. Working with Dr. Jake, Josh, Carter and the laser therapy helped to heal me. I really appreciated all the knowledge and guidance they gave me. It was a wonderful experience and if I am ever in need, I will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed working with everyone at Kinetix.  Dr. Cui and the PT intern were fantastic.  From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was welcoming and encouraging.  Before PT, I felt like my body was in decline.  Now, I feel revived and excited to see the improvements in muscle strength and endurance.  I don’t have to give up doing activities that I enjoy.

I am thankful for Kinetix for their intense work that they provided me. I came after a horrible car accident, where I was at a standstill and rear ended at 65 mph. I had a neck sprain, lumbar sprain, pinched nerves, hip sprains and spasms which caused severe pain. I wasn’t able to walk or stand for ten minutes at a time. Before coming to Kinetix, I experienced vertigo for the first time after a massage appointment.  I saw the Facebook ad about the balance/dizziness workshop so I signed up.  Kinetix was also recommended by a colleague.  After working for two weeks with Jacob, my dizziness is totally gone!   Really appreciate how well Jacob explained everything that was happening and why it was happening.  It made a scary experience with vertigo A LOT better!

I had been dealing with low back pain and weakness for 7 years before I came to Kinetix, and now I look back and think, “What took me so long?” Before starting PT I had a hard time sitting or standing for more than a few hours. I couldn’t enjoy the things I loved like travelling and working out. My experience with Kinetix has been wonderful from start to finish. I am grateful for Dr. Scott Eddins and Carter and all of the Kinetix staff for their exceptional customer service and patient care. Something about Kinetix that I think is really special is how much time they spend on manual therapy which was a game changer for me. Carter worked with me each week to find time in my busy schedule and kept me laughing through tough workouts. Not only did he give me exercises to do at the gym, but he also gave me the tools to continue working on my own. Now I am able to comfortably sit and stand as long as I want! Thank you Kinetix for helping me overcome my injury!  

I have chronic neck problems which cause migraines and limit my activities.  Leanne Quinn has been the best physical therapist I have ever worked with.  She provides a range of therapies: massage, exercises, ultrasound, and hot/cold packs.  Additionally, she and Rikki are both upbeat and encouraging and easy to work with.  I will definitely be back!  Many thanks!

My PT, Leanne, is great! She made PT fun. I would highly recommend Kinetix to anyone because of the fun and supportive environment.

Before PT, I was having problems with my right hip, leg, back and sciatic pain going down my left leg.  I feel that most of my problems have been taken care of due to Dr. Scott, Carter and Kevin and all the others helping me.  I found all of them to be very attentive, thoughtful, answering all my questions and giving me good advice to take home with me.  Their work ethic was honestly right up there and spot on.   This is a great group of caring people.  I will be back if needed.

Dr Reidy and his interns demonstrated caring, compassion, and deep knowledge.  The combination of tissue work, stretching, and strengthening calmed my pain and inflammation over the weeks I attended therapy here.  I’ve learned skills that I can continue to use to keep myself pain free and prevent future injury.  Ruth

Dr. Scott, Josh and Matt have done an excellent job helping to get me back to my normal activities, after my car accident. My accident affected my ability to do many things, including laundry, driving and working but now I am able to get back to those activities. I can’t say how much I appreciate all the assistance I got at Kinetix.

Prior to Kinetix I had difficulty with overhead activities in certain positions limiting my ability to participate in sports related tasks with my kids.  Currently after treatment I have no pain and able to perform everything above with no issues.  I will continue with the home exercise program that I was entrusted by Raj, Nick, and Dr Tony.  The entire staff was exceptional here, from front office to clinical.

It’s hard to even remember how incapacitated I was, only 6-7 weeks ago. Now I am back to normal activities- stretching and strengthening has been a great benefit. I’m still hoping that all back pain will disappear, but I will certainly keep working to increase those chances. Katherine has “magic fingers”, her manual therapy is heavenly. Thanks, Tony Cere!

Before coming to Kinetix I experienced vertigo and dizzy spells daily. I was extremely frustrated and began to modify my behaviors to avoid an episode. After therapy, I no longer experience vertigo and only very rarely have dizzy spells. Tony and the rest of the team were understanding, patient, and friendly. I am so thankful they were able to help!

My story began after a work-related accident that tore various tendons in both shoulders. The Kinetix front office team was very friendly and efficient in getting me set up right away with my PT, Tony Cere. While awaiting surgery on my right arm, he made a plan to help with the pain I was having. Sleeping in bed was painful so I had to sleep in a recliner and couldn’t lift or reach. After surgery, Tony and his awesome PTA, Eric Nadler, helped me to regain range of motion. Lucky for me, Kinetix had just received the deep tissue laser, which became an integral part of my therapy, over the next several months. James used the laser while Tony simultaneously did the manual therapy and it really did help with the pain and allowed for better range of motion. When that arm was better, I had surgery on the left shoulder. Again, everyone at Kinetix was there to rehab both shoulders. Today, I had my final visit at Kinetix! My range of motion is great in both shoulders, I’m sleeping in a bed, and I can lift and reach. It’s been a long road to recovery, but I couldn’t imagine going to a more caring and knowledgeable team of professionals than Kinetix. Thanks to the entire Kinetix team!

Before I came to Kinetix, I was unable to continue participation in cross country at my school. Now I can run again after working with my physical therapist, Dr. Tony Cere, and his intern, Ana, to strengthen my legs and hamstrings. My balance has greatly improved and I can build back up my running stamina. This place is full of welcoming people and everyone is so nice. Special thanks to Ana for helping me so much and being so personable.
