Gwen Creel, PT, MHS

Gwen Creel, PT, MHS received her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Florida. After practicing in a variety of settings including inpatient neuro rehab, acute care, hospital-based outpatient, and home health for approximately 15 years, she returned to the University of Florida to acquire her Master of Health Science with an emphasis in neuro/motor control. Ms. Creel joined the University of Florida physical therapy faculty in 1997. She taught several courses in the curriculum, focusing on Clinical Education, Service Learning and Interprofessional Education. She retired from the University of Florida and is now honored to have the opportunity to provide hands on physical therapy services to a variety of populations. Gwen particularly enjoys working with geriatric clients. She has been active in our local and state professional organization, the Florida Physical Therapy Association, serving on multiple task forces and on the District Council for many years. She received the 2013 Fred M. Rutan Outstanding Service Award for her contributions to the profession in the state of Florida. She has also served as a delegate to the American Physical Therapy Association’s House of Delegates. Gwen enjoys bicycling, raising funds to fight breast cancer via the Pink Pumpkin Pedal-Off event, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her mother-in-law, Harriette!
